Transition from Foreign to North American Leadership in the Early Veterinary Colleges

Abstract

As veterinary colleges took root in the late 19th century, it took only a short time before leadership of those colleges came from North America rather than from Europe. The founding leadership for eleven colleges is described over the last 150 years.
