Analyzing Future Growth in Angola: A Simple Macroeconomic Framework

Other Titles

Abstract

Future growth in Angola is both conditioned by and dependent upon the way in which its huge oil revenues arc used. This paper discusses the nature of these issues, focusing on the Dutch Disease effects that pervade the Angolan economy, and presents a simple model for analyzing future tradeoffs in uses of oil money and their implications for economic growth over a twenty-five year period.
