Many stains can be removed from clothing and household furnishings using the directions in this booklet which have been tested in a Cornell University laboratory. If followed, the chance of removing the stain is very good. There is no single product or method for removing all stains, because the chemical makeup of each stain and agent is unique. Old stains are more difficult to remove than fresh stains, and some staining agents are so strong that they will not react to any efforts to remove them.en_US
