dc.description.abstract	El curculiónido del annual bluegrass, o “annual bluegrass weevil” (ABW), es una plaga creciente de césped en el noreste de los Estados Unidos. Este escarabajo nativo es más abundante y perjudicial en césped de bajo corte y alto mantenimiento, como greens, tees y fairways de canchas de golf. El insecto se reportó dañando césped por primera vez en Connecticut en 1931. Hasta hace 20 años más o menos, el daño se concentró en el área metropolitana de Nueva York. Sin embargo, hoy en día se han observado infestaciones severas a través de todo el Noreste y hasta el Medio-Atlántico, incluyendo Maine y Quebec hacia el norte, Pennsylvania y Ontario hacia el oeste, y Maryland hacia el sur. En los dos últimos años ha sido identificado en Delaware, Virginia y West Virginia.	en_US
