dc.description.abstract | Anaerobic digestion of dairy manure and co-digestion of manure and food waste has been demonstrated primarily at large scale. Technology is commercially available for small-scale anaerobic digesters and associated biogas utilization equipment that can be applicable to smaller and midsize dairy farms. The scale and type of this technology is described with ranges of energy outputs for either electricity generation or biomethane (renewable natural gas, RNG) produced from the digester biogas. | |
