This is a specialization study under the research that aims to understand the differences between driving behaviors across different cultures. In the previous work, we used a VR driving system to record people’s movement and car motion. After conducting this study with 32 participants, we start processing collected data with the expectation of identifying driving behaviors through data analysis and visualization. In this project, we focus on the hand data collected in our experiments. We use these data to identify the changes of hands position and validate them using corresponding videos. This report discusses our current analysis and implications for improving a driving study with VR simulation in the future.
