Abstract

The following paper will discuss and describe tracheal collapse, its effect on animals, clinical signs that are observed and treatment options. There will be an in-depth discussion of a case presented to Cornell's soft tissue veterinary service that presented with severe clinical signs from collapse cranial and caudal to a previously placed NitinolĀ® tracheal stent. This paper will cover options for treatment, the procedure that was performed and the outcome and continued progress of the patient.
