The following paper summarizes a case of equine sarcoids and describes the complexities of the disease, including the proposed etiology and genetic susceptibility, the diagnosis, and the treatment options. To date, there are no curative therapies for sarcoids. In addition to presenting the various existing immunomodulating treatments, I will discuss the novel use of an autologous heat shock protein peptide vaccine in the continuing battle against equine sarcoids.en_US
