dc.description.abstract[Excerpt] The Commonwealth Minister for Family and Community Services, through the Department of Family and Community Services, funds disability services in each State and Territory. This funding provides access for people with a disability to vocational programs and employment opportunities thereby promoting economic and social participation and choice for people with disabilities in work and the community. This report presents national data on services for people with a disability, and consumers accessing employment services funded under the Commonwealth/State Disability Agreement in 1999–2000. The data was collected as part of the annual Commonwealth Disability Services Census conducted on 30 June 2000.
