Abstract
Memorial Statement for Professor John Hendrick Whitlock, D.V.M., M.S. (1913-1994) who was Professor of Parasitology at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine for 50 years from 1944 to 1994. "His dual interests in...veterinary medicine and ....zoology characterized his academic life where his many writings (over a hundred journal articles and at least three textbooks) covered topics as narrow as 'The Administration of Phenothiazine to Sheep' and as expansive as 'Parasitology, Ecology, and Biometry'." He also served the University as a Faculty Trustee (1971-1976), "a role of which he was very proud". The memorial statements contained herein were prepared by the Office of the Dean of the University Faculty of Cornell University to honor its faculty for their service to the university.
