Abstract
Melodrama no. 13 (The Possibility of Failure) is a Web-based narrative that explores the way we portray memories and interpret dramatic events. It is an investigation of how computer-mediated narrative forms can manipulate the audience's relationship with the story, control the representation of events, and affect the audience's perception of memories through "variables" set by the author.
