Abstract

The first chapter of this dissertation studies the long-term effects of the WIC program on a range of outcomes in adulthood. The second chapter examines the causal relationship between Indian gaming and tribal disenrollment in the U.S. The third and final chapter studies research designs that can be used to establish a causal relationship between access to mental healthcare and teenage and adolescent pregnancy, mainly under Medicaid.
