dc.description.abstract | [Excerpt] Following the Federal Election in October 2004, a number of machinery of government (MoG) changes were made. These changes, which became effective on 1 December 2004, included the transfer of responsibility for open employment services to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR). Responsibility for supported employment services remained with the Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS), and dual open/supported employment services ceased to exist. Further, the Department’s name was amended from FaCS to the Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaCSIA) with the MoG changes on 27 January 2006. | |
