Farm Partnership Arrangements
The purpose of this bulletin is to help farm families develop "good" business arrangements. Persons working with families on partnerships also will find it of use. The information is presented in a general and non-technical manner. It is aimed toward families who may be in the stages of exploring joint venture farm business arrangements or those who are working out a partnership plan for their situation. Ideas presented are based on years of experience working with families on partnerships. The materials included here have been used in meetings and workshops on farm partnerships and in counseling with families on their specific arrangements. Basic principles are outlined along with example8. The case study of the "Swanson" farm business arrangements illustrates the steps a family may take in developing and using a partnership to transfer the business from one generation to another.
