It is the largest gift in the history of the college. The gift, made by animal lover Janet Swanson, spouse of John Swanson '61, B.M.E. '62, M.M.E. '63, includes: A $3 million endowment for the Janet L. Swanson Wildlife Health Program at Cornell. A $2 million endowment for the Janet L. Swanson Clinical Program Director for Maddie's Shelter Medicine Program. $2.125 million to upgrade and purchase new equipment for magnetic resonance imaging in the Cornell University Hospital for Animals.
