Other Titles

Abstract

Castor oil is derived from the castor bean and is used for a variety of industrial and health-related applications. Its primary pesticide use is as an insecticide, but it is also used as a repellent for moles, gophers, armadillos, and other burrowing vertebrate pests. While it is considered inedible, castor oil has some food processing applications and is also used in various pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
