Lab-Based Meat Production: Science Fiction or Reality

Author
Post, M. J.
Abstract
We will discuss the prospects of cultured meat, where the science (biology, bioprocess, social) stands now and what the challenges are to move this to the market as a bona fide substitute for livestock produced meat. It will be a mostly academic point of view but biased towards providing a solution for livestock meat production.
