Demographics

Permanent URI for this collection

Local leaders use data and indicators in a variety of strategic ways, including incorporating data into their master plans, grant proposals, research studies, program evaluation, and broader decision-making processes. Data allows us to establish baseline measures, measure trends over time, compare our communities and organizations with others, establish goals for the future, and to make informed decisions to enhance the well-being of people and communities.

Accessing, interpreting, and using data for planning, evaluation, and informed decision-making is an important component of community and economic development. CaRDI’s focal area in Demographics and other socio-economic data provides links to data tools and resources, trainings, publications, and collaborators, with the goal of connecting people and organizations with the data and tools they need.

The resources listed here represent an archive of CaRDI activities and outputs related to demographics. Visit the CaRDI web site for more information and the latest resources.
