2014 CVM News: Call for dogs with indolent ulcers for randomized controlled clinical trial

Abstract
This news item is about: Drs. Eric Ledbetter, DACVO, and Michele Edelmann of the Cornell University Hospital for Animals (CUHA) Ophthalmology Service are evaluating the effect of adjunctive treatment with platelet rich plasma (PRP) on corneal re-epithelialization in dogs with indolent corneal ulcers. They are seeking volunteers to participate in the treatment study. Candidates include dogs with indolent ulcers (superficial epithelial defects with no stromal involvement and loose epithelial edges). Participants must weigh more than 4.5 kg (10 lbs.).
