Description
A winner of the Knight Award for Writing Exercises and Handouts, this work originates from Science and Technology Studies 1126, Science and Society: Illness and Medicine in Social Context. The materials include handouts for four in-class peer workshop sessions, each focusing on one aspect of writing—introductory paragraphs; organization; quotes and paraphrase; and argument. Each handout follows a similar format: (1) a header stating the focus of the workshop; (2) a few sentences explaining what will be workshopped; (3) a list of elements of the paper to pay particular attention to; and (4) for each element, a list of questions that the student may address. 10 page pdf
