On March 5, 2011 the Department of Classics at Cornell University hosted a graduate conference entitled Media Antiquitatis: Ancient and Modern Approaches to Information. The goal of the conference was to initiate conversation on ancient conceptions of information and communication technology, as well as their relation to modern research methodologies. In keeping with that goal, working copies of those papers are here archived on eCommons@Cornell.

Many thanks to the presenters who made the original conference possible. We hope you will continue to be stimulated by their work.
