Art has a rich tradition of distilling complex ideas for the general public, and the understanding of information should be no exception. The information "revolution" has left us with more data than we are accustomed to, with the onward march of processor speed and storage capacity exceeding our ability to make use of it. The problem is not one of technology, but a lack ofpeople with the means and ability to manipulate and decipher the data in ways that make it meaningful.
