This poster presents pilot data collection and analysis for a bibliometric study that is under development. The purpose of the study is to help librarians and researchers understand evidence synthesis publishing trends in agricultural economics. The data set includes articles from journals in the Web of Science Core Collection's agricultural economics and policy category, which were published between 2003 and April 2024. Preliminary analysis identifies journals publishing evidence synthesis, yearly publication counts, and the types of evidence synthesis methods used by agricultural economics researchers. Based on preliminary analysis, these journals are publishing an increasing number of meta-analyses, systematic literature reviews, and systematic reviews. As an academic librarian working with disciplines in the social sciences, including agricultural economics, I want to understand how librarians can collaborate with researchers working on evidence-synthesis projects that require systematic literature searches. Though not a part of this pilot analysis, I plan to explore whether the articles mention librarians' or information professionals' involvement and how researchers develop and document search strategies.
