Abstract

This news item is about: Holger Sondermann, professor of molecular medicine, was elected into the American Academy of Microbiology earlier this year along with 95 other new fellows. The Academy recognizes scientists for outstanding contributions to microbiology and provides microbiological expertise in the service of science and the public. Fellows of the American Academy of Microbiology are elected annually through a highly selective, peer-review process, based on their records of scientific achievement and original contributions that have advanced microbiology.
