In 1933 the Faculty at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, NY began to publish primarily in recognized technical and scientific journals. The NYSAES Publications Committee assigned faculty authored articles a number based on when it was published. They kept reprints of all faculty authored papers in a series of their own design called "Journal Papers."
