Student-centered planning is an individualized, asset-based practice that centers students’ perspectives, interests, and goals to improve in-school and post-school outcomes for students with disabilities. The Student-Centered Planning Fidelity Tool is designed for educators to use in planning, implementing, and sustaining the practice of Student-Centered Planning. The fidelity tool is structured using the four essential components: (A) Conduct Comprehensive Asset-Based Assessments, (B) Develop Student-Centered Goals and Action Steps, (C) Implement Student-Centered Practices, and (D) Monitor and Update Progress. Each of the four essential components are broken down into key criteria needed to implement the practice with fidelity. As such, this document outlines how to administer and score the tool.
