Facilities: One of the great benefactors of the Department of Chemistry is Spencer T. Olin who has provided the funds to enable us to undertake the renovation of the Undergraduate Laboratories in Baker Lab. This renovation started on December 10, 1973 and will result in excellent facilities in keeping with the department's continuing effort to provide modern chemical laboratory instruction to Cornell students... Alumni: We recently received word that Vartakes Migrdichian has donated a $ 1 million fund "to help Armenian students who were in a situation like my own years before".
