The public and social contract of holding onto, donning costumes, and using pathways for transportation is the driving force behind my research and studio practice. Closely examining the mysterious rituals of transportation, both for the living and the dead, involves the use of ZONE MARKING colors as punctuating language, site-specific materials and motifs interacting with support structures, and connective tissues in their softest and hardest forms. These are my exploratory means of thinking through a variety of infrastructural racetracks at their varying altitudes in daily life, and the reversal of specific gravities; as necessary to convey the weight and light of each iteration.
