Abstract

Dr. Leonard Pearson was one of the most scholarly, dedicated, and passionate veterinarians of his era. With his 12 years as the third dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, he was among the most beloved. His untimely death in 1909 was considered a tragic and major loss for the fledgling veterinary profession.
