Abstract

This fact sheet describes the scientific evidence of whether the herbicide atrazine affects the risk of breast cancer and other cancers. This includes information on its use in agriculture and other uses, who may be exposed to atrazine and its breakdown products, levels in water and rainfall, atrazine's regulatory status, a summary of the studies that have evaluated its cancer risk, where more research is needed, and ways to minimize exposure.
