Abstract

Objectives 1. Increase the understanding of management and the functions of a manager. 2. Develop management skills and abilities and facilitate their application to the areas of the farm business with the greatest opportunity for progress. 3. Increase the effective use and timely adoption of proven production practices and technologies through improved planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling of farm resources. 4. Instill a sense of pride and enthusiasm in being a member of the agricultural community. 5. Increase dairy farm profitability and productivity and the competitive position of the New York dairy industry.
