Abstract

This is a workbook that a farmer can use to assess the potential outcomes of alternative retirement investment options. The first part of the workbook briefly explains the types of retirement investment options most farmers generally consider. The second part of the workbook illustrates how a farmer can measure the possible outcomes of the investment plans using his own expected tax and investment return rates. The workbook contains tables of rates and outcomes which are used in the assessment. The workbook also contains programs for TI-58 of TI-59 calculators which may be used rather than the printed tables to assess retirement investment options.
