Abstract

A large body of evidence is accumulating which contradicts the currently generalized belief that animal fats, including dairy fats, have negative consequences on human health. This presentation will discuss available evidence on the effects of dairy consumption on human health. The public health role of dairy products in relation to their potential to prevent or ameliorate the onset of chronic diseases will also be addressed.
