[Excerpt] On behalf of the AFL-CIO, 1 am writing to urge you to vote against the Republican FY 2013 budget resolution (Ft. Con. Res. 112), introduced by Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan and scheduled for floor consideration later this week. According to the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, the Ryan budget '"would produce the largest redistribution of income from the bottom to the top in modern U.S. history and likely increase poverty and inequality more than any other budget in recent times (and possibly in the nation's history)."
