Abstract

Every day on dairy farms, there are opportunities to make changes in how things are done, what inputs are used, and how profits are invested. How do you propose making a change to the owners and other management personnel on the farm? Partial budgets are a key management tool that are utilized to identify the financial impacts from making a change. This session will help you prepare the different types of partial budgets, identify the strengths and limitations of them, and look at how they can be used to propose change on the farm.
