Abstract

These files contain data supporting all results reported in Rosio Ramos, et. al., "Shifting individuals’ life goals and healthy living priorities to the center of health care: insights from a qualitative data investigation". In the article, we found: the focus groups of Benefit Funds staff and member interviews found that empowering members to recognize and decide that self-management is achievable and important to attaining their own personal better health outcomes was vital for program success. In addition, it was important for members to engage support from their families, friends, and the Benefit Funds community to cope successfully with stress and identify a trusted advisor who can help manage urgent health or life issues.
