Description
This early description of the New York Agricultural Experiment Station (later New York State Agricultural Experiment Station - NYSAES) was made when the Station was only a few months old. The first director of the Station assumed office on 1 March 1882 and this account was published in August 1882. The article described the location (Geneva, NY) and work of the Station and praises the benefits soon to be reaped from the scientific progress made there. Also provided is an outline of the Station's methods and a description of the buildings and people engaged in research there.
