Abstract

Trans-Tamagotchi: Virtual Trans Ranch by Kathy High is a proposal to develop tamagotchi-like virtual pets, along with an extensive website that will act as a hub for their activities. Trans-Tamagotchi: Virtual Trans Ranch is being produced to encourage 1) familiarity with the work that transgenic laboratory animals are engaged in and 2) an "interspecies culture" where care and empathy is rewarded.
