Abstract

95 percent of managers are dissatisfied with the way their companies conduct performance reviews, and nearly 90 percent of HR leaders say the process does not even yield accurate information. Moreover, the COVID pandemic has upended business as usual for nearly every worker where new skills, competencies and attitudes are required to navigate today’s changing workplace priorities. These leave human resource professionals to wonder if and when it is appropriate to hold current performance reviews. It's critical that you capture and incorporate the drivers of organizational success into your performance appraisal template and this can be done by amending the entire template or phasing out annual performance reviews.
