Abstract

This seminar analyzes both the ongoing gender shift in the veterinary medical profession and the changing social expectations regarding the roles of males and females in the workplace and in the home. It then considers the impact of these trends on the career aspirations of veterinarians. Finally, it identifies strategies employed by four practice owners in their effort to balance their careers and their personal lives.
