Abstract

Dairy farms with existing anaerobic digesters are uniquely qualified to accept the additional streams of food waste. Steady streams of dairy manure buffer and stabilize the AD process. These farms also have personal in place to better manage the changes in operation that come with the addition of nutrient-dense organics.
