Since fish medicine is an unfamiliar topic to many veterinarians, this paper will integrate a case of mycobacteriosis in a goldfish into a discussion of how to approach a fish case as well as an introduction to diseases most commonly seen in pet fish. The latter half of the paper will focus on the disease diagnosed in this case.
