Abstract

A biobased economy is not just about biotechnology and it’s not just about fuels. It is all based on agriculture and the revenue per land area. With a finite area of land there is a need to maximize the revenue from it using all available tools for agriculture, engineering, chemical engineering and distribution. Once there is a product, it needs to be brought to market. It is complicated and exciting. Integrated approaches and partnerships are essential and it is important to be working on the right thing and in the right fashion.
