Abstract

The exhibition Bleached Out Reef takes coral ecology and, and especially coral bleaching, as an extended metaphor around queerness, thriving, community, and coping mechanisms. This paper, also titled Bleached Out Reef, explains some of the thoughts behind the visual work and the strategies used in the exhibition.
