[Excerpt] UK Libraries’ Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) serves as the largest repository of archival and manuscript collections, personal and family papers, oral histories, primary sources, and rare printed materials in Kentucky, centrally located within the Commonwealth’s flagship public university. The SCRC preserves and sustains collective memory, serving as an indispensable connection between past, present, and future, by collecting and documenting the social, cultural, economic, and political history of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Our materials are used across the globe by scholars who contribute to original research and creative undertakings in all aspects of cultural life and work.
