[Excerpt] Change is endemic to market-based economies and consequently to the employment relationships embedded in them. Hence, it is yesterday's news that the terms and conditions under which people work in the United States are changing. Historically, the pace of this change has varied. But the restructuring of capital assets eventually affects the relations between employees and employers.
