Memorial Statement for Professor Emmett Norlin Bergman, D.V.M., M.S., Ph.D. (1929-1989) who was Associate Professor (1961) and Professor (1966) of Physiology at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. "His early interest in metabolic diseases of ruminants, begun as his doctoral thesis, was maintained throughout his career." There was international recognition for "his systematic, carefully controlled studies of metabolic disorders." He also "achieved an exceptionally harmonious balance between his two major professional activities, research and teaching."
