A weather station was set up at grower CJ Hayes Farm in Washington county. Two weeks after the station was operational it was hit by lightning. The machine was sent back to Geneva for repairs. One week after it was reinstalled back at Hayes farm, it was again hit by lightning. At this point in the season, we felt it was better to wait for next year to carry out the demonstration. Growers are still interested in the demonstration and look forward to 1999.
