Abstract

Sustainability will remain front and center in the work of ARS, with special emphasis on rural economies. Bioenergy, previously mostly focused on biorefining has been extended to include feedstock development and feedstock production. Much effort is expended in coordinating the efforts of the USDA/ARS and other parts of the federal government.
