2009 CVM News: 2009 Calvin W. Schwabe Award winner announced

Schwabe Award for Lifetime Achievement in Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. The award recognizes Dr. Erb’s significant contributions to veterinary epidemiology and preventive medicine. Dr. Erb will be giving a keynote address at Schwabe Symposium, held in conjunction with the Conference of Research Workers in Animal Diseases (CRWAD) on December 6, 2009, where she will be presented with the award. The award is especially important to Dr. Erb, who was a former student of the late Dr. Schwabe. She credits him for sparking her interest in epidemiology as a DVM student at the University of California-Davis.
